How to manage an extensive product catalog in netRivals

In ocasions when you’re in front of very extensive catalogs, it can be daunting to try to analyse all the data that this will generate. A better way to do it is just to select specific groups of elements. And the way to do this in netRivals is by doing a search.

Once you’ve entered all the filters that you want to apply, you just need to hit Search. After doing so, netRivals will return the results matching that search and you’ll notice that the amount of products to cover now is much smaller.

Help: Remember that you can refine the search as much as you want. For instance, you can filter by connected products in order to work only with those products for which there’s at least a connection with the competitors you’re tracking.

You have the possibility of saving as a Report every search you perform in netRivals. So once you’re sure on the criteria for the product group you want to manage, save it by hitting the button Save. After that you’ll be able to access all the reports generated from the Reports and Feed tab.

Tip: Take some time to think of the criteria you want to apply to your search and once you’re sure on those save your search as a Report.

Keep in mind that you can edit all the reports after you generate them. You simply need to apply the necessary changes and then hit the Save report button.

This is not only an easier way to cover all of your catalog, but it is also an easier way to assign subsets of products to individual members of your team. This option makes it possible for all your team to focus on specific groups of products and cover your complete catalog in an easier fashion.
